Powhatan County Democrats Post Blatantly Racist Cartoon of Winsome Earle-Sears – Twitchy

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger is the de facto leader of Democrats in the state. She’s the face of the party, and lately, that face has become as ugly as it is angry.

First, Jay Jones imagines putting bullets in the head of a political rival and wishing death on the children. The man running to be the state’s next attorney general even said he thinks some cops should die.

As Democratic leader, Abby not only rejected Jones’ call to withdraw from the attorney general race, she also refused to withdraw her endorsement.

Then came Abe’s utterly disastrous debate performance. Sears dominated from start to finish, while Spanberger looked like Joe Biden in a blonde wig.

From the moment Spanberger fell flat on her face, Democrats were in a panic. Their internal polls must have been terrible. We don’t blame them. Sears has momentum, and it’s gaining momentum. Democrats are getting desperate. Abby was unveiled as a set of talking points that she hopes will be enough people in Virginia who hate Trump enough to vote for her. There is nothing substantive it can offer beyond that.

Earlier, the desperation of Abigail Spanberger’s party showed itself in the ugliest and most historically democratic ways. Powhatan County Democrats posted a disgusting racist cartoon depicting Winsome Earle-Sears as a caricature of a black woman straight out of the Jim Crow era.

They quickly deleted the post, but as they say, the Internet is forever.

Democratic Party of Virginia Everyone.

Holy Robert Byrd, Batman! Can you imagine, even for a second, what the response to the same cartoon would be if it were Trump and Kamala?

But, you know, it’s different when Democrats do that.

As we said, they quickly deleted the post, and as the backlash mounted, they posted a half-hearted apology claiming they didn’t realize the post was offensive.

We’ve reposted a political cartoon online that some thought had racist overtones. This was certainly not our goal. We’ve deleted it out of respect for anyone who took it that way.

“Some people thought” as if they did not know. Do they really expect anyone to believe that? In order to accept that they don’t know, you also have to accept that they must be the dumbest bunch of asses to ever try to become Democrats.

They knew.

No one “thought” it had racist overtones. It did have racist overtones. If the parties were reversed, it would be on every MSNBC show and mainstream news cycle from now until Election Day with every Republican in office asked to denounce it.

Where is the Democrats’ anger? The likes of Jasmine Crockett and Summer Lee. All Democrats throw a race ticket more often than Aroldis Chapman throws a fastball. They were all (not so) shockingly silent.

What about Virginia Democratic Party leader Abigail Spanberger? Did she denounce her party’s blatant racism?

She did not respond or denounce the racism practiced by her party. The Virginia Democratic leader has remained silent so far.

This requires a modicum of decency, self-awareness, and self-reflection. Don’t hold your breath.

When they show you who they are, believe them. Abigail Spanberger and the Virginia Democrats have shown themselves to be hateful, and perhaps violent, racists.
