President Donald Trump says that the Palestinians will not be expelled from Gaza
President Donald Trump insisted that no person from Gaza will be “expelled”, amid questions about his bold plan to rebuild the war strip.
“No one is expelling any Palestinians,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Thursday during his meeting with Irish Prime Minister Michel Martin.
Egypt, which led the negotiations on an Arab -led plan to rebuild Gaza, welcomed the President’s suspension.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “This position reflects an understanding of the need for further deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the importance of finding fair and sustainable solutions to the Palestinian issue.”

Earlier this month, Arab leaders agreed on an Egyptian -led reconstruction plan for $ 53 million, but the White House rejected it. The National Security Council spokesman, Brian Hughes, said that the Arab proposal “does not address the fact that Gaza is currently unable to population and residents cannot live in a humanitarian manner in an area covered with debris and uninterrupted ammunition.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Trump’s plan as a “creative revolutionary vision.”
But Hamas also welcomed Trump’s assertion that the Palestinians would not be expelled.
“If US President Trump’s statements are a retreat from any idea of the displacement of the Gaza Strip, they will be welcomed,” Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in the statement.

“We call for strengthening this position by forcing the Israeli occupation to implement all the conditions of the ceasefire agreements,” he added.
White House envoy Steve Witkev is located in Qatar for extensive talks in the next stage of the ceasefire agreement. Israel wants a two -month pause in the fighting in exchange for about half of the remaining hostages. Hamas is pushing for a full stopping of hostilities.
