Gary Klein explains what to expect from the Rams as they prepare to face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday before traveling to London ahead of their Week 7 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
“You can never go into a game and say, ‘Man, we’re about to pass somebody,’” Rams defensive lineman Coby Turner said. “They’re all NFL guys. You don’t show up to your first game one time and you’re going to get cooked.”
The Rams found it the hard way in a 26-23 overtime defeat to the 49ers. Backup quarterback Mac Jones sliced up the defense with quick passes that prevented the pass rush and challenged the linebackers and defensive backs.
Jackson will be out with a hamstring injury Cooper Rush It is expected to start.
“You have to remind yourself that every Sunday is Sunday,” safety Quentin Lake said. “You sometimes say, ‘Man, Lamar is out or whoever his players are.’ But the players coming in now are hungrier because they have to prove themselves. They will give everything they can and have nothing to lose.”
The last time the Rams visited M&T Bank Stadium, they lost when the Ravens returned a punt for a touchdown.
