Republicans make early plans to extend and expand Trump’s tax cuts

Republicans in the House of Representatives have launched the first tax pieces of approximately $ 4 trillion who hope to pass in the coming weeks, planning plans that will keep the main panels to reduce taxes on President Trump 2017 while providing more generous tax exemptions for the next few years only.

In the late legislation in the end of the day, the Republicans made it clear that they intend to wake up the largest standard conclusion, and the low individual income tax rates and other measures they approved in 2017. These provisions are scheduled to end at the end of this year, and the Republicans have allocated a lot of their capacity in the Capitol Hill to expand them.

But they also indicated that they wanted to take some tax discounts for 2017 further, as they formulated a series of temporary expansions for the second period of Mr. Trump. The draft law suggests adding $ 1,000 to the size of individuals – which is $ 15,000 this year – every year until 2029, with a greater increase in married Americans. Child tax credit will witness a similar temporary batch, to $ 2,500 from $ 2000, during the next four years only.

What did the Republic of the House of Representatives set on Friday reaching a first partial draft of the legislation. It does not address a set of important issues, including the maximum of $ 10,000 on government and local tax discounts, and Mr. Trump’s campaign pledged to exempt some forms of income from taxes, tax credits for clean energy and more. The raising of the income tax rate over $ 2.5 million, which is the idea that Mr. Trump has played with it in recent days, is also not in the draft law issued on Friday.

Republicans in the House of Representatives are expected to address these thorny issues in more detail in the coming days, probably on Monday, before they attend the draft law to consider it in the Roads and Means Committee. Many of the tax reductions that were issued on Friday are likely to attract widespread support from Republicans. This includes an increase in a discount available to many business owners, as well as raising the threshold to pay the real estate tax.

Actor Jason Smith, the Republican in Missouri, who is the head of the Roads and Meaning Committee, said in a statement that the draft law “will create job opportunities, cultivate wages and investment, and help enter a new golden age.”

The tax cuts are only one piece of the financial package that the Republicans collect. They are also preparing to reduce spending on the Medicaid program, which is a health care program for the poor; Raising borrowing limit in the nation; Increased financing for the army and enforcement of immigration.

Democrats have lined up against legislation, with their criticism focused on the Republican Party to reduce spending on poor programs to help finance tax cuts that provide the largest benefits to the wealthy.

Actor Richard Neil, a democratic in Massachusetts, accused Republicans of trying to hide their plans by launching the bill on Friday night. He said: “If you believe in what you are doing to do, do so when people watch.”

With the opposition of the Democrats and with only a bare majority in the House of Representatives, Republicans face a difficult way to pass the legislation, as moderate members extend to discounts in deep spending that conservatives insisted on the bill. If the Republicans are able to pass legislation in the House of Representatives, it will still need to pass the Senate, which is likely to change the draft law and return it to the House of Representatives for another vote.

This may not be the end of the epic. Along with the largest standard and tax credit deduction, it is expected that the Republican proposals for Mr. Trump’s calls for lack of taxes, additional work or social security only during most of the term of Mr. Trump’s second term. The expiration of many new tax cuts may lead to another tax battle in the coming years.
