Rigan writer Reagan warns of increasing political violence after Kirk’s death

Baiji Nonan, a former letter of discourse in Reagan, said that the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk indicates a new chapter worrying about the political violence of America.
Kirk, 31, died after he was shot in the neck during his “American tour” at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. The assassination comes a year after two attempts to take the life of the president.
“We would like to say something gradually and then suddenly,” Nonan wrote in the Wall Street Journal on Thursday. “It is from Ernest Hemingway”, “The Sun Rises”: A personality, he asked how he bankruptcy, “in two ways, gradually and then suddenly.” This is the way political violence grows in this century.

“We know that this cannot continue and we do not know how to stop it,” Nonan wrote. “This is our dilemma.”
Noonan, who is now a column writer at The Wall Street Journal, was previously working as a former speech of Pressdient Ronald Regan from 1984 to 1986.
Kirk’s assassination is one of the multiple examples of political violence – or attempts to political violence.
For example, the 20 -year -old armed man, Thomas Matthew Crocs, opened fire on Trump from the surface during a campaign in July 2024, and one of the eight bullets shot Trump’s ear. The gunman also shot Corey Compleratore, a 50 -year -old firefighter, a father and her husband attending the gathering, and two others were injured.

Likewise, Ryan Roth was arrested and charged with an assassination attempt at Trump at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, in September 2024.
Other cases include an assassination plot against Supreme Court judge Brett Kavano. Nicholas John Rosk, 29, admitted that he was guilty in April to try to kill Cavano in June 2022, according to the Ministry of Justice.

Trump said on Friday about “Fox & Friends” that arrest had been in the assassination of Kirk, and Utah officials confirmed the 22 -year -old Tyler Robinson.
“I hope he owes it, and I imagine. I hope he will get the death penalty,” Trump said on Friday. “What he did, Charlie Kerk was the best person, and he was not worth it. He worked hard and healthy. Everyone loved him.”
