The franchise posted a statement on X as the Pittsburgh Penguins finished with a 3-0 win over the Sharks.
“During the first intermission of tonight’s game, a message with externally presented offensive language was inadvertently displayed on the scoreboard inside the stadium,” the team said. “Sharks Sports & Entertainment deeply regrets that this letter, which is inconsistent with the values of our organization, was not discovered during our standard review process.
“The Sharks organization sincerely apologizes for this error, and we are actively working to determine the origin of the message.”

ICE in California has been a major topic of conversation over the past few months. In Los Angeles County, the Board of Supervisors voted to declare a local state of emergency in response to the agency’s operations in the area.
Provincial officials claimed the raids “created a climate of fear, resulting in widespread disruption to daily life and negative impacts on our regional economy,” including decreased attendance at workplaces, closures of temporary or permanent businesses, and increased pressure on schools, hospitals and places of worship.
