Stop anomalous and exit the child’s dual maturity cover exhaustion

We write as Paediatrics who are very anxious about the size of children’s poverty in the United Kingdom. It is unreasonable for any child to go to the bed hungry – at least in the fifth largest economy in the world.

In its report in July 2025, the Children’s Commissioner wrote, “This report should not be present.” In fact, it should not, that this message, nor the exciting Stephen Cotier piece (I have seen the extent of the poverty of children in the UK and I say this: You must go with the use of the benefit of the child, September 1), nor the strong warning Gordon Brown (nothing has prepared me for the child I see in Britain. However, we are here – we still need to remind our leaders that poverty smiles childhood, shortens life, and future scars.

In our clinics, we see the consequences daily: children fail to prosper because their parents cannot afford the costs of the formula; School children are very hungry for learning; Adolescents weigh family poverty. These are preventive damages.

The maximum of the child is the one should go. Anathable evidence – from a child poverty working group to British Medical Journal – The lifting of the cover will be the most effective step to reduce children’s poverty.

We urge the government to act: provide a modest tax on wealth, or other progressive measures, to finance this change. The head of York’s bishops called for this. Gordon Brown has appealed to that. We, as Paediatrics, add our voices. Our children cannot wait.

Yes, Bridget Phillipson, you are fully right to say that the maximum dual child (cancellation of two children’s two children is closer to Bridget Phillipson “Sbithful”, September 19). It was when the previous government carried out. And it is still when, Bridge, Voice to continue this.

None of us should be told that children are not responsible for the number of siblings they have, the amount of money that their parents earn, or how any government decides to treat them. I am a supporter of employment and voters throughout my adult life, and a number for several years, and this is the most ridiculous government I can remember. At least the government that has approved the reason (from their point of view) to do so. Now, when the prime minister and senior advisers can see their support sliding throughout the country, this policy should go suddenly?

I yearn for the opportunity to vote in a different prime minister and deputy prime minister. Perhaps we will be able to obtain the true government of the Labor Party.
