Switching from iPhone to Android broke my world


I’ve owned an iPhone since 2013, and have owned the iPhone 12 Mini for the past four and a half years. Everyone I communicate with regularly also has an iPhone. I love AirDrop. I love FaceTime. All my photos and videos from the past decade are stored in iCloud, and I have hundreds of voice memos and notes with creative ideas stored in them.

Just the thought of migrating over a decade of my digital life from one ecosystem to another boggles my mind. My iPhone-loving friends and family have begged me not to. I almost made the switch last year when the hot pink Motorola Razr Plus debuted… but then I had a nervous dream about the chaos having Android in my life would cause, and decided against it.

The day I never thought I’d see coming may be here. Fast forward a year, and I was starting to get tired of my trusty little iPhone. I’m annoyed by the new iPhones being too big to use with one hand. I really want Apple to come out with an actual foldable phone – A We standnot fold. So once again, I’m tempted to buy a Razr, but this time it’s the absolutely gorgeous Razr 2025 embellished with Swarovski crystals.

In this episode of Prove It, which you can watch embedded above, I took out Android for a test run and ported my phone number to the Razr. I’m trying to move my entire digital life to the Android ecosystem. That should be easy enough. What could go wrong?
