Teachers should be trained to use a fibrillation remover to keep our children safe Schools

Children all over England are preparing to return to school this week after the summer vacation, but parents must be interested in their safety and well -being while they are in school.

After years of campaigns in campaigns after the tragic death of my son Oliver to the sudden heart attack, she welcomed the commitment submitted by the previous government to ensure that all the state -funded schools throughout England get a life -saving fibrillation remover. The program’s introduction was important and the nomination of a giant step forward in improving emergency medical readiness, and perhaps saving lives in schools throughout England.

Now I urge the current Labor Party government to move forward by ensuring that all school staff receive appropriate and updated training on how to use a fibrillation remover with confidence and effectiveness. Through our work in Oliver King FoundationWe have heard directly from school teachers and faculty members throughout the country that this life -saving equipment is not used and instead it is stored in the cabinets because training on how to use it has not been provided.

The presence of fibrillation in schools alone will not solve the problem. Providing adequate training is very important as a way to increase the valuable investment that the previous government is undertaking and in ensuring that every child, teacher and visitors in our schools are as safe as possible in the case of heart attack. Failure to provide this training is unnecessarily at risk.

Heart conditions such as sudden death syndrome (SADS) He killed 12 young men under 35 years of age every week In the United Kingdom. The need to ensure that our schools are not ready to deal with unexpected emergency situations such as heart attack.

This is not a party issue, but the issue of protecting the health of our children and life. Regardless of political affiliation, we can all agree that schools must be safe areas where teachers are prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations. Training is a logical solution that goes beyond political lines and reflects a common commitment to the luxury of every child in England. As the new school year approaches, I urge the government to act quickly.
