The Americans are still playing in Wimbledon 2025
It has been a strong offer so far for Americans during the 2025 tennis season.
Madison Keys opened this season with the title in the Australian Open, and Coco Goff followed her example in the French Open last month. Not to mention that a total of eight Americans toured 16 in Roland Garros – more than 40 years – and since Paris, three American men (Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul and Bin Shelton) have ranked first for the first time since 2006.
Hopes and expectations were high with Wimbledon’s start with 35 Americans in the main clouds – more than 1999. But it was not successful for the United States yet. In the first week, it is filled with skills of the best players – including No. 2 Gauff and No. 3 PEGULA in the first round – only four Americans are still entering the fourth round.
No American has won the single title in Wimbledon since Serena Williams in 2016, and no American man has done it since Sampras’s house in 2000. Will one of the remaining players be able to secure their place in history this week? Here are the Americans who left the clouds, and how they got here.

Navarro surprised the tennis world by defeating her victory over Jouf in the fourth round last year and eventually won the first quarter -final in her career. One year later, the 24 -year -old is not strange to the deep performance of the Grand Slam events, after reaching the quarter -finals in the open and open Australian open.
But with 4-3 score on the grass this season before Wimbledon, and after a shock was defeated in the first round of the French Open Championship, it was not preferred with the start of the main clouds. This has changed with her impressive play during three rounds, including victories over two former Wimbledon heroes.
In the opening round against Kvitova, a winner twice playing in the final Wimbledon before retirement, Navarro Kvitova allowed only four games. This is the fifth appearance in favor of Navarro in the 16th round of the last six championships, and link it with Gauff and World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka for more of that period.
But Navarro’s path somehow gets more difficult from here. Andreva will face a 18 -year -old phenomenon and the highest classified player remaining in the lower half of the clouds, on Monday. They just played once before, with Andreva easily, 6-2, 6-2, in a 64-round round last season. Andreva, an open French semi -finals 2024, will look forward to reaching the quarter -finals in Wimbledon and told reporters that the couple practiced grass together last month in Bad Humburg. Navarro later said it was “excited” to confront.
“We said, we practiced together in Germany,” Navarro said. “I think it’s a fun playing player and watch. She has strength, but she can also get to know. You will get a lot of balls. It’s really strong in running, outside the corners. It will make you hit that extra ball.
“So yes, it’s fun to play with that like this. I am looking forward to that.”
The winner of Monday, ranked No. 18 Ekaterina Alexandrova, or Belinda Bencic, will face the quarter -finals.

It was a penetration season for AnISIMOVA. The 23 -year -old, who returned after a mental health rest at the beginning of 2024, won the largest title in her career in the Qatar Championship at the level of 1000 in February, and she has since reached the fourth round of the French Open and made her first final in Queens last month. It is ranked first in the twelfth place, and it can break the top ten in the following classification.
Perhaps no one made a larger statement in the opening round of Anisimova, who scored a rare double victory (6-0, 6-0) over Bottenasva in just 44 minutes. Although she has not been completely dominant since then, she has shot down only one group on her tour so far and was in a state of firmness in her decisive group against Joom in the third round. The correspondents told that she was happy with her gameplay on the grass that enters the second week.

27 -year -old Fritz arrived in Fritz, 27 -year -old Fritz, to all England after beating grass titles in Stuttgart and East Estborn in the weeks before Wimbledon. While many Americans are struggling with the lack of knowledge of the grass, Fritz was strange throughout his career and won five of his ten titles on the surface.
Fritz needed in the quarter -finals twice in Wimbledon, including last year, to decisive groups in both first two games. During his clash in the first round, which went to a second day as a result of the touring ban on the tournament, Fritz was forced to withstand MPTSHI PERICARD-which recorded the record in Wimbledon to the fastest service at an altitude of 153 miles per hour and has 33 oxis-and a deep digging to win. After losing the first group against Diallo, he fought again for 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (0), 4-6, 6-3. The total Fritz 109 games during the first two rounds were third in history.
During his third round match against Davidovich Fukina, Fritz was largely controlled all the time, and won four groups. He will then face Thompson, an Australian 31 -year -old at 44, on Sunday. They played twice previously, and they divided the chain. Thompson won his last meeting and his only faced on the grass in the quarter -finals in Queens Club in 2024. Fritz said he was confident in entering the match when speaking to the media on Friday, but he also said he knew that Thompson might be a challenge.
“I think I am playing a great tennis,” said Fritz. “I think there are some things that I can feel that I can do what is better. I just feel these things, then I think I will be – I don’t think there will be anything for me for a better performance on the field. I’m very happy with my game.
“I think Thompson will be difficult. It is possible that he will serve and make me happy a lot, and he increased me a lot. He hit me in Queens last year. It’s good on the grass. I think it’s a different kind of game I was playing. I think he will try a lot of trying, it will differ.
If Fritz will win, he will then play the winner in the fourth match between the No. 17 Karen Khashanov and Camel Majirzak and may have the best opportunity to reach the semi -finals in Wimbledon.
No. 10 Ben Shelton

Few American men this century achieved a greater success of Shelton’s early age. The 22 -year -old has already reached two main semi -final (in the US Open in the United States 2023 and 2025 Australia Open), and won the ATP title, and beat the first ten positions for the first time last month after appearing in the 16th race in the French Open.
He is now in the second week of Wimbledon for the second year in a row thanks to three dominant offers in the first week. Although Shelton needed a draw in the opening match 6-4, 7-6 (1), 7-6 (4), it may have been more imposed in its offer on round 64.
