The Arab world interacts with the Israeli strike on Hamas leaders who visit Qatar

Qatar besieged Sheikh Tarim bin Hamad Thani, US President Donald Trump, for supporting Israel’s efforts responsible for the recent strikes that targeted a delegation of senior Hamas officials who were meeting in Doha on Tuesday.

Why do it matter

The increasing discontent with Israel among the main American partners raised concerns about the potential strains of Washington’s relations. Arab leaders indicate that the repeated measures that destabilize the region cannot be allowed to continue to escape punishment.

Trump said he does not support the position of Israeli strikes and that the measures do not serve interests for us. Unlike when Israel launched a sudden attack on Iran in June, Qatar is a major ally of NATO, which gave Trump a priority to visiting him on his first foreign trip since re -recovery, and was mediating alongside the United States for a ceasefire in Gaza. He is also talented by Trump with Boeing 747 dollars worth $ 400 million.

Qatar claimed that it had not received any pre -inflicted notification of the explosions that hit several sites across the capital, including residential buildings that included Hamas members, saying that information from the United States arrived 10 minutes after the attack. However, Trump said that Qatar had been informed of the “imminent” attack, but “it’s too late.”

The reaction of the Arab and regional leaders to the strikes was strongly and condemned them as a blatant aggression and the violation of the sovereignty of Qatar. Hamas confirmed that six people were killed in the Doha strike, including the son of a chief leader Khalil Al -Hayya, his chief of staff and three personal guards.

Qatari security officer was also killed. Israel did not confirm whether senior Hamas officials were killed, but Hamas said the attack was “failed” to do so and that its leaders had survived.

The Qatari prince called on the international community to meet its “legal and moral responsibilities” and punish those involved, and told Trump in a phone call that Washington should support such a “fair approach”, according to the Qatar News Agency.

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said that in the previous days, negotiations were continuing with a full effort in response to the American request to discuss the latest suggestion of the ceasefire, which came with Hamas warning.

He said at a press conference on Tuesday: “However, the Israeli team has hidden every opportunity for peace,” he said at a press conference on Tuesday. “Does the international community need more to know who is the fatwa in the region?” He added.

With the support of the United States in its goal, the defeat of Hamas, Israel praised the operation, saying it targeted the “terrorists” who planned an attack on October 7, 2023. It is believed that the strikes had been carried out with more than 10 combat aircraft, according to media reports.

Qatar also has the support and solidarity of regional countries and beyond from the European Union and the United Nations.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, another major ally of Trump, said that the country provides all its capabilities to support Qatar in any procedures it follows and warned of what it described as “severe consequences resulting from the continuation of the Israeli occupation in its criminal elimination,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
