The director of Joel Kacchi Benson, the winning director


Cinetic, director Joel Kachi Benson, has signed the administration and will help launch an original list of fictional films.

Penson made history this year to become the first Nigerian film director to win the Emmy Award to Guide the original documentary Disney, “Mado”, who won the Documentary Film Award for Distinguished Arts and Culture.

“This Amy is a victory for Nigeria, for Africa, and for stories everywhere. It is evidence that our stories are important, and when they are listed carefully, they can travel and transform,” Penson said.

Benson is located in Lagos, Nigeria, where it introduces an original list of non -fictional projects for the international masses. Two are currently under development; The first, a documentary, is one of the most successful women’s football teams in Africa, and the second is a documentary with the length of the feature about the sudden effects of kidnapping.

The latest documentary in Benson, “Chipuk Mothers”, was first shown in Doc Nyc 2024 and currently playing the International Festival circle. The film looks at the women who kidnapped their daughters in the kidnapping of Chipuk Boko Haram 2014. It is a complement to the overwhelming documentary of Benson “Chipuk Girls”, which was first shown at the seventy -seventh Venice Festival, where she won a lion gun for the best overwhelming story. Benson is the first person from the African continent to win the prize in that category.

“Stories like” Mado “and” Chipuk mothers “are strengthening my belief that documentaries can really change life,” said Benson. “It allows us to divide, enhance understanding, and amplify the sounds that must be heard.”

Benson, driven by a belief in the power of telling African stories, intends to create the stories narrative institute of its kind in Lagos, which focuses mainly on preparing emerging filmmakers with practical skills in the manufacture of realistic films and the storytelling storytelling. The institute will serve as an incubator and platform for African stories to find international masses.
