The former MTV host Matt Benfield says he is recovering from a stroke

Benfield died recovery from a stroke and says he intends to “swollen back.” According to To Hollywood Reporter.

On Thursday, Radio DJ and MTV had reported that he was released from intensive care after being stroke in early January that he was recovering at the Los Angeles Rehabilitation Center.

“You don’t respond for two months,” says Benfield, 63, in the Hollywood Reporter story. “Friends were thinking that they would come to see me for the last time. Doctors did not expect to speak or walk again.”

In late January, Jessica Benfield, Benfield’s daughter, submitted a petition in the Los Angeles Upper County Court to become the governor of her father and his property. She said in legal documents that Matt Benfield was “incompetent” to make decisions on his health and financial.

Benfield told the Hollywood Reporter that he was placed on the hospital’s industrial respirator and that his daughter was “who saved my life.” He added that he hoped to leave the rehabilitation center by the end of March and return to its radio programs on KCSN, known as Socal Sound and Klos.
