The Paul Greengrass film adds five to the cast
Oscar nominee Paul Greengrass has retitled his film The Peasants’ Revolt, previously known as Anger to UprisingAdding five to the cast: Jamie Bell (Half a man), Cosmo Jarvis (War), Thomasin McKenzie (Jojo rabbit), Jonny Lee Miller (primary(Woody Norman)Come on, come on).
Character details are being kept under wraps, and production is currently underway. As previously announced, Andrew Garfield stars as the legendary leader of a fierce rebellion against the tyranny of King Richard II. As war rages across England, he raises an army of the people to confront the king’s power in a battle for justice and survival.
It was also previously announced that Katherine Waterston has joined the cast.
Jason Blum is producing through Blumhouse, along with Gregory Goodman, Joanna Kaye and Greengrass, as well as Lars Sylvest through Thank You Pictures and Joe Neurwater through Supernix. Focus Features is set to distribute the film domestically, after acquiring it from Cannes in a deal said to be in the region of $11 million, as we first reported.
Greengrass gets to work Uprising After the debut of the drama Fire in California Lost buswhich premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and arrived in limited theaters in September before arriving on Apple TV+ (Apple TV now) on October 3. The film, starring Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera, is among this year’s expected awards list.
Its special edition will be released on October 3, anemone – The drama from Ronan Day-Lewis that brought his Oscar-winning father, Daniel Day-Lewis, out of retirement – Focus Next is set to distribute the cast of Yorgos Lanthimos – Emma Stone Bugonia Worldwide outside South Korea on October 24. Other films the company has on the docket this fall, whether as a domestic or international distributor, include: Hamnet and Lurking On November 27, History of sound On December 18 and Song Song Blue On Christmas Day.
