The Southern Division Commissioner warns against transferring papers
During his commissioner’s speech on Thursday in Long Beach at the Southern Division Council meeting, Mike West said that his office has become “very brilliant in determining” the fraudulent transfer information provided by parents and schools in a message explaining the reason for an increase in the announcement of unqualified athletes for two years to violate the CIF Bealaw 202.
“We had a real fragmented flow,” said West. “It was very important and frustrated.”
Bishop Montgomery and Long Beach Melikan were among the schools where football athletes declared unqualified for two years after providing false papers information.
“He spoke with athletes and their parents when they come to a correct change in residence,” West said.
Before meeting, West was asked if he could say anything to educate parents who are going through the transfer process. “It does not turn into fraudulent papers in order to gain eligibility,” he said.
Not only the southern section is to find ways to detect wrong information. It also occurs in North Calfori, according to Lreen Simore, CEO CEO.
The real test whether schools and parents adapt to what happened during the football season comes when the papers begin to reach basketball transfers next month.
Under the CIF transfer rules, you have one time chance to get a period of consideration after the four -year transportation or the student must change housing with all family members to be the Eligibile immediately.
