The United Labor Party makes Britain work better for everyone. We cannot allow our mission to disrupt Bridge Philipson
toAst Week, the conference showed the best in the Labor Party: our collective strength, the United, and the purpose. Our message to the British public was clear: We offer decency, not decline, and that we are determined to build a better Britain for everyone.
As the Minister of Education, I led this mission from the front: Announcing a proposal Free breakfast clubsThe return of maintenance grants to low-income students-providing an opportunity for young people, and showing that education is the key to giving them freedom to choose their way in life. This year, the values of our party put solidarity, mercy and social justice to work, while fulfilling the pledges that we took in the recent elections.
But none of this happened by chance. This happened because I have a seat on the table, because I got power in the government to fight for the policies that unite our entire movement.
But I will not stop there. I want to delegate to do more: when dealing with children’s poverty, the historical task of our party, publish more opportunities for young people, and to provide policies that our members want to see.
Do not make mistakes, the change in the voting in this leadership election. The choice is the type of change. Members can choose to push our government to be bolder, go further and make more effort with me as a voice on the cabinet table, or they can choose the type of division and extinction that fills the pages of right leaves and creates them.
Choosing this path is not free of risk or without a result. It will be a mandate for more disturbance that we have seen in recent weeks, with the permission to throw more stones, to create more distraction from our decisive mission of giving workers a better life. It will be a vote for instability, voting to divide our packages, to incite areas against each other, and our political opponents hand over the upper hand with decisive elections, just around the corner. It is simply a vote, brings us back to the dark path to the opposition.
After 14 years of the misery of the Conservative Party, the last thing our members want, and the last thing our country needs is to take this path. I want all of us to meet together to tell that desired story on how to change our youth’s life policies.
Often, the Labor Party party has not been accomplished in the main policy fields without anyone noticing due to non -fatal errors, and strong ads have been withheld through self -created noise. It frustrates me, just as you frustrate you.
I will not claim that we did not make mistakes as a government. I was the first to admit it – and for this reason I will never be ashamed to present the challenge as I think we must do what is better. I know that the importance of fighting my corner and broadcasting fears, but I do so as these concerns belong – separately.
Although I will not defend our mistakes, I will not be ashamed to enhance our successes. This is what is going on around the role of the deputy. Angela Rainer knew this well: This is why she encouraged us to focus on 90 % of the things we got properly, instead of 10 % of the things we have sinned.

We all have the duty to turn this government, and we do not throw ourselves. Our country depends on this. As deputy leader, I will take the battle for reform, vegetables, engraved Cymru and SNP. I will campaign with the Labor Party members, unite our party and accomplish matters in the government, not screaming from the side lines. I will put the heart of the Labor Party and their soul in this government and make our members proud.
