Chad Duell reflects on his condition General Hospital Coming out after 14 years and explaining why he decided to step away from the ABC sudser.
In a new interview, the actor opened up about why he chose to leave the long-running series.

Doyle also noted his desire to spend more time with his partner and their young son, adding: “I’m preparing myself for the next chapter. Right now, I’m just trying to grow in ways that maybe I feel like I’ve stifled myself in certain areas, and sometimes you need to take drastic steps or Make yourself feel uncomfortable, and that’s not what I’ve done in a long time.
The actor said the door has been left open for a return in the future, but Doyle says he has “some things planned” for himself, adding: “It’s different because I have a baby now. But also for him and for me and for everyone, it’s doing what’s best for me – spiritually and mentally.” And everything – it’s only going to reflect my energy in a better way towards everyone around me, and I want to make sure that I’m taking good care of myself, which I haven’t always done.
