A golf player died in a statement on social media that the mother of Tiger Woods, Coltida, who was described by the main champion 15 times, described as “the largest fans”, died on Tuesday. It was 80.
Woods’s mother attended the TGL match in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, last week.
“My mom was a natural force for her, her soul was simply unworthy. From my personal achievements it was possible,” Woods said in a statement about X.
“She was loved by a lot, but especially by her grandchildren, Sam and Charlie. Thank you all for your support, prayer and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. I love you, mom.”

While the late Woods’s father, Earl, was often attributed to him to help his son develop his game and create a competitive fire that would make him one of the greatest golf players in history, Tiger described his mother as a “implemented” throughout his career.
Tiger said in the past that his mother affected his traditions in wearing the red color on Sunday because she thought it was “the color of power.” In her hometown of Thailand, people choose colors to wear on weekdays, and Sunday red.
“I started with my mother. He won some championships,” Woods said during an event for his red dressing line in Los Angeles in Los Angeles in February 2024.
“If I go to a red university, Stanford is red. We wore the red color on the last day of each championship, then every tournament played as a professional we wore in red. It is just synonymous for me.”
Colitida Woods was born in Thailand and was working as a Civilian in the American Army’s Bangkok office in the 1960s when she met Earl Woods, a US Army Special Forces soldier. She left for the United States in 1968. They were married in New York and moved to Cypress, California, where Tiger was born in 1975.
Colitida and Earl Woods married 37 years old until his death in May 2006. He was 74 years old.
Last year, when Woods won the Bob Jones Award, the highest honor for the Golf Association in the United States, in Pinhurst, North Carolina, his mother thanked him for being a stability force for him at home.
“I accepted this in humility and an incredible former recipient, but I also accept it to my mother too,” Woods said during the admission speech. “I allowed me to get here. I allowed me to do these things, chase my dreams, support and love – I did not do it on my own. I had the greatest rock that could have any child: mom, thank you, mom.
Woods’s mother was standing near the eighteenth green color at the National Golf Club with Tiger children when he won his last main championship in the MA 2019.
“My mother does not get credit,” Woods said last year. “Everyone thought that my father was when I went on the road, which was what it was, but my mother was at home. If you didn’t know, my mother was there all my life. She was always there through thick and gentle.”
