Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign this La Liga midfielder

Recently a reportVishagis stated that Tottenham Hotspur is looking to sign Real Sociedad midfielder Luka Socic. Tottenham are reportedly showing interest in bringing the Croatian midfielder to north London next year.

Sučić’s impressive form in La Liga last season

Sučić has had an impressive season at the Spanish club recently as he produced a number of attractive performances for them in the middle of the park. The Croatia international has scored three goals and provided two assists in 40 appearances for Real Sociedad this season across multiple competitions.

The 23-year-old deserves some credit for making 25 tackles, 30 blocks, 15 interceptions and 16 clearances in La Liga. He was even accurate in distributing the ball from midfield, having completed 82.4% of his pass attempts in La Liga (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract with Real Sociedad will expire in the summer of 2029. Therefore, Tottenham will have to make a convincing offer if they want to sign Sučić next year.

Should Tottenham Hotspur coach Thomas Frank include Socic?

Sucic loves to tackle and can sense danger well to make some important interceptions for his team in the middle of the park. He doesn’t mind putting his foot across the ball when needed and is an accurate passer of the ball as well.

The Croatia international can contribute by scoring goals and creating his fair share of goals in attack. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the high physicality and intensity of the Premier League if Spurs are able to sign him next year.

There is no doubt that Sučić will enhance the quality of Tottenham coach Thomas Frank’s midfield. He is good enough to compete for a regular place in the first team at the north London club.

At 23 years old, Sučić’s best years are ahead of him. Therefore, he would fit Spurs’ long-term needs. Sucic will also help the London giants compete on all fronts in the coming years. Overall, Frank should focus on doing his best to get him into the team in January or at the end of this campaign.
