Trump “immediately” ends deportation protection for Somalis in Minnesota

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday evening that he would end deportation protections for Somalis in the state of Minnesota “with immediate effect.”

“Minnesota, under Gov [Tim Walz] “Waltz, is a hub for fraudulent money laundering activities,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He continued: “I, as President of the United States, hereby, immediately, terminate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Somalis in Minnesota.”

Trump claimed, “Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great country, and there are billions of dollars missing. Send them back where they came from. It’s over! President D.J.T.”

Minnesota has a large Somali population, and the TPS program allows Somali citizens temporary legal status to live and work in the United States due to dangerous conditions in the African country.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Walz’s office and the White House for comment.
