Here’s Zass’ note.
To all members of the Motion Picture Group team-
As we approach the end of 2025, I wanted to take a moment to congratulate the entire Motion Picture Group on a truly amazing year. Thanks to your talent, dedication and teamwork, our studio has achieved a feat that has not been achieved since 2019 – surpassing $4 billion at the global box office with just 11 films. Together we spent 15 weeks at #1, saw nine films debut at #1 globally, and are proud to have three of the top ten grossing films worldwide. These accomplishments are not just numbers, but a testament to the creativity, passion, and relentless drive that each of you brings to this work every day. The results have been amazing, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.
When I first arrived at the studio, I was committing this storied company to its theatrical roots, and to renewing Warner Bros.’ Long a home to the world’s best storytellers, re-establishing this iconic studio to its position as an industry leader in terms of quality and box office success are among my main goals. Appointing Mike and Pam to lead this team was an important step in achieving these goals, and I am pleased to share that we have re-enforced their deal to enable them to continue the great work they and this team will do over the next several years bringing the best films to cinemas around the world.”
Mike & Pam’s unwavering leadership and commitment to this business has been critical to our success this year, with countless box office records broken across Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema, where Jesse Ehrman, Richard Brenner and their teams were flawless. Among our greatest achievements are our balanced slate of global tentpoles, strategically enhanced intellectual property from Warner Bros.’ past stories, including those from DC Studios, led by Peter Safran and James Gunn, and our global portfolio of horror films, with the addition of groundbreaking new originals. Next year, we will take another important step when we reintroduce new anime titles to that strategy.
We have much to be grateful for and celebrate, including many of the year’s best-reviewed films, many of which penetrated the cultural zeitgeist in profound ways while also delighting moviegoers around the world.
With thanks,
David
Here’s Di Luca and Abdi’s note to staff:
