When you hurt the shareholders’ participation more than it helps


As the shareholders ’groups grow more diverse and differentiated-whether in family companies, the joint owned private companies, or the measurement of startups-often interested in sharing shareholders. The assumption seems clear: When managers and shareholders are more involved, both sides will appear increasingly, more consensus on the best resource use, and more constructive contributions.
