Getting a good night’s sleep and other healthy habits can slow the biological aging of your brain, and may protect against diseases like dementia.
These habits, known as the Eight Essentials of Life Checklist, were originally intended to help people promote cardiovascular health. It includes getting at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise, such as brisk walking, per week, and eating a healthy diet rich in nuts, fruits, vegetables and whole foods.
