Kylie Kelsey has an inferiority complex about her “dead” elf on the shelf
Kylie Kelsey won’t use her podcast to share private details about her family, but the lies she tells her daughters are fair game.
In the latest episode of her Wave Original podcast, I’m not going to lie to Kylie Kelsey, The 32-year-old WAG has closed off requests to reveal the name of “baby number four” – and not just because she hasn’t chosen one yet.
“Even if a name was chosen for me, I would probably keep it in the family,” she told listeners.
Kylie and Jason Kelsey currently share three daughters with a fourth baby girl on the way. However, the Kelces add another member to their family at Christmas every year: an elf on the shelf named “M&M-Y.” And yes, Jason and Kylie have the most relatable approach to Christmas traditions.
“I don’t think our chosen path for Elf on the Shelf will be a surprise to anyone,” Kylie said of her family’s “dead” elf. “We are the least Elf family you can find in the Shelf Family.”
Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas tradition that involves toy elves spying on children for Santa Claus. These elves have been known to move around the house, causing mischief and leaving candy…at least for some families.
“M&M-Y shows up on December 1st. M&M-Y moves around the sites…most nights. That’s it,” Kylie said. “She doesn’t give presents, she doesn’t cause mischief, and she doesn’t need any extra work.”
While Kylie Kelsey loves the idea of drawing on her kids’ faces with marker and framing the doll, as some families do, the stealth required is just too much of a commitment.
“The idea of waiting until my kids are deep enough sleep and then planning to go into their room and hoping they don’t wake up, that’s just a commitment I’m not willing to make,” she said.
The low-effort elf works well for Kylie, who used to lie to five-year-old Wyatt when she forgot to move the doll, claiming the elf didn’t want to get her wings wet in the rain.
“I’m not going to lie to you guys. I’m going to lie to my kids,” Kylie explained. “I lied through my teeth, and I’m doing it again because she bought every second of it. God, I felt a little guilty, and I have felt that way every morning since the second time I told that lie. decent. “We’re fine.”
