Texas AG launches the investigation of the Dallas Reserve policies


Texas Pakiston Public Prosecutor launches an investigation into the city of Dallas on the policies of the campus city in the region that protects illegal immigrants.

On Thursday, Buckston announced the investigation, in addition to an official request for the records of the city’s police administration and Dallas regarding the police department’s refusal to comply with government and state immigration laws.

“The law is not optional. Local governments do not have the power to ignore government immigration laws and federal laws,” Pakston said in a statement. “Texas expects the law enforcement agencies to support public safety, not implementing the sanctuary policies that endanger our societies.”

He added, “My office will take all necessary legal measures to ensure compliance with the state law and accountable for any local entity that defies its legal obligations,” he added.

Paxon’s office has requested all policies, training materials and communications related to Dallas enforcement or non -enforcement of immigration laws, including any records that reflect decisions to reduce cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

He referred to the temporary Dallas Police chief Michael IGO, who said that his agency “does not help any federal agency in the detention of people who are documented or not documented in the city of Dallas.”
